Best Places to Hide Easter Eggs

Looking for a creative place for the Easter Bunny to hide Easter Eggs this year? We have 10 fun ideas for you!

1. Pantry Among the Spices – Have a pantry that is full of different sized spices? That is perfection for hiding Easter Eggs. Simply place the eggs among your garlic powder, basil, oregano, paprika and other camouflaging spices for a fun way to hide the eggs.

2. Tissue Box – An easy and unexpected place to hide eggs is right in a tissue box. You can either hide it right on top of the tissues, or get crafty and hide it at the bottom of the box.

3. Fruit Bowl – Hide the Easter Eggs in plain sight by disguising them in with a bowl of apples, oranges and other yummy fruits.

4. Coffee Mugs – Have hanging coffee mugs throughout the kitchen? These are a perfect place to hide Easter eggs. Or, even right in the coffee pot – we’d recommend making your coffee before the kiddos go egg hunting. This will keep you caffeinated while watching the little ones (or okay, maybe you too) go hunting.

5. Among Toys – Put all those toys your kids have to good use by hiding Easter eggs in there. Whether you have their favorite stuffed animals holding the eggs, or placing an egg in their Barbie Dream House or hiding them among Star Wars legos – this is a great (and fun) way to hide eggs.

6. Home Decor – Have a super cool art piece that has egg-shaped holes, or just a bunch of nooks and crannies? Then go ahead and stuff some eggs in there. Some other great places are behind photo frames, figurine cabinets and in vases…make sure the kiddos are careful so they don’t break anything!

7. In the Lights – Balance those plastic eggs right within your lamps throughout the house…just make sure nobody turns them on!

8. In Egg Cartons – Who would think to find Easter Eggs in actual egg cartons in the fridge? Not us, that’s for sure. It’s hilarious and ironic and would be funny to watch mom get a surprise when she goes to make Easter brunch.

9. Clothing – Hide eggs inside pockets, shoes and hats for an unexpected place for everyone to find eggs. Even if they don’t find them on Easter, they’re sure to find them eventually (and how much fun is that surprise?!)!

10. Gutter Spout – Looking for a creative place to hide outdoors? The gutter spout is ideal! It won’t be the first place anyone looks, that’s for sure.

11. Sandbox – The kiddo’s sandbox is a perfect place to hide Easter eggs. Either in the back of trucks or peaking out in the sand, it’s a fun way for the little ones to search for the eggs.

12. Bike Baskets – Do your kids’ bikes have baskets? This is an easy place to hide eggs outside and fool them into thinking all hiding places are this easy (cue maniacal laughter).

13. Hanging Plant – Switch things up and hide eggs up higher in hanging plants. It helps keep things interesting and makes hunters keep guessing.

14. Tire Swing – Who thinks to look inside a tire swing? Not the average kid. So perhaps you’ll get to keep the eggs you hide in a tire swing all to yourself…maybe…

15. Window Box – Hide Easter eggs among plants in your window box for an unexpected place. You can either hide it obviously among bushes or harder behind flowers.

16. Gardening Tools – Behind the rake? In the watering can? Inside a pair of gloves? Whichever gardening tool you choose, it’s a great place to hide eggs!

17. Inside the Grill Have a big grill in your backyard? It’s the perfect place to hide eggs! Just make sure you check all eggs were found before you light it up!
