Our Favorite Strawberry Pancake or Dessert Syrup

- pint fresh strawberries, halved
- cup sugar
- tb. light corn syrup
- 1 1/2
- tsp. fresh lemon juice
- tsp. butter
1Place strawberries in a blender or food processor. Cover and process until smooth. Transfer to a saucepan.
2Add sugar, corn syrup, lemon juice and butter. Bring to a gentle boil. Gently boil and stir constantly for one minute. Skim off foam; strain seeds, if a clear sauce is desired.
3Serve with additional fresh strawberries and whipped cream over pancakes, waffles, angel food cake, ice cream or other desserts.
