A BLOAT BUSTER SOUP RECIPE

When you need this..IT WORKS.
Ingredients
-
1 tspvegetable oil
-
1 cfinely chopped onions
-
1/2 cfinely chopped celery
-
2 tspminced garlic... ( keeps the vampires away !!)
-
2 cwhite beans, cooked without salt. i use canned rinsed 3 to4 times, and drained
-
1 cfinely diced butternut squash
-
1 cchopped carrots
-
1 can(s)(13-3/4 or 14-1/2 oz) reduce-sodium chicken broth
-
1 cwater
-
1strip (2 inches) lemon peel
-
1/4 tspfreshly ground pepper
-
1/8 tspthyme
-
4 cshredded cabbage
-
1 can(s)(14 or 16oz) whole reduce-sodium tomatoes

1 tsplemon juice
-
1/2 cjuliened fresh basil
-
1 tspgrated lemon peel
How to Make A BLOAT BUSTER SOUP RECIPE
- Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
Add onions and celery, cover and cook, stirring occasionally till tender, about 5 minutes.
Stir in garlic, cook 30 seconds.
Add beans, squash,carrots and chicken broth, water,lemon peel, pepper and thyme.
Bring to a boil gently, uncovered, until vegetables are tnder, about 20 minutes.
Add cabbage, cook just until cabbage is tender, about 5 minutes.
Stir intomatoes and lemon juice, return to boil.
Add basil and grated lemon peel
Makes 6 delishes servings.
