2 lbfresh kielbasa
2 can(s)the large ones sour kraut
1 qthalf and half
1 ptheavy cream
1 stickreal butter
SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE.
How to Make Sour Kraut Soup
- Add fresh kielbasa and and about a 1/2 cup of water to heavy soup pot or dutch oven. Cover and simmer till mostly cooked. Remove lid and brown meat.
- Remove meat from pot. Cut in bite size pieces. Add the juice from the cans of sour kraut. bring to a simmer to get the bits from the bottom of pan.
- Add the sour kraut, cut kielbasa, half and half, cream, butter, paprika, salt and pepper.
- simmer on low till slightly thickened.
