  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 cups water
  • 10 ounces sharp natural, cheese grated
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • dash liquid hot pepper seasoning
  • 3/4 pound diced cooked ham
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 1 package vegetable thins snack crackers

How To Make hearty ham n cheese soup

  • Step 1
    HEAT BUTTER, SAUTE ONION UNTIL TENDER, BLEND IN FLOUR. GRADUALLY ADD MILK AND WATER. COOK, STIRRING CONSTANTLY UNTIL MIXTURES THICKENS AND BEGINS TO BOIL. REDUCE HEAT. ADD NEXT FOUR INGRED. AND STIR UNTIL CHEESE HAS MELTED. SPRINKLE WITH PARSELY. SERVE WITH CRACKERS.
