This wonderful soup was in an old cookbook I have and I'd never noticed before. I will definitely be making this--very easy and hearty.

Ingredients

8 c
water
2 c
baby carrots, sliced
1 c
celery, chopped
1 medium
onion, chopped
2 Tbsp
minced garlic
1 1/2 tsp
seasoned salt
1 tsp
dried parsley
1 tsp
poultry seasoning
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
pepper
3
boneless, skinless chicken breasts
4
cubes chicken bouiillon
5 c
fine egg noodles, uncooked

Step-By-Step

1Place all the ingredients except noodles into a large soup pot. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer until chicken and vegetables are tender, about one hour.
2Remove chicken from broth; let chicken cool slightly. Stir noodles into broth; simmer, uncovered, until done, about 5 minutes.
3While the noodles are cooking, dice chicken and return to soup. Serve hot with crackers or crusty bread. So comforting!
