Ingredients
- 1/2 red onion
- oil
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 cup red lentils
- 1 liter stock
- salt
- pepper
How To Make spicy red lentil soup

Step 1Chop the onion half and fry gently in a little oil. When soft, add the ground coriander, ground cumin and smoked paprika. Crush the garlic cloves and add to the pot.

Step 2Pick over and rinse the red lentils, add to the pot. Pour in the stock and season with salt and pepper

Step 3Bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes.

Step 4Blend/liquidize until smooth. Adjust the seasoning.
