grandma's vegetable soup
My grandmother used to make this sweet and sour soup and can it. EVERY time I make this, it gets rave reviews. Grandma would be flattered by all the "mmmmmmmmmmmmmms." Great with crusty bread or rolls.

Ingredients
- 2 sticks celery, diced large
- 2 - carrots, diced large
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped large
- 1 pound stew beef, cut into small pieces
- 3 large potatoes, peeled and diced large
- 1 can tomato juice or v-8
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive or canola oil
- 1/4 cup sugar
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make grandma's vegetable soup

Step 1In a large stock pot, brown meat in oil. Add onion and continue until softened. Add the rest of the ingredients. Give it a good stir.
