I'm sure this recipe is straight off the box, but I'll post it anyway as it is included in her cookbook and we've been eating them since we were kids :)

1/4 c
butter or margarine
5 c
mini-marshmallows (or 40 regular size)
1/2 tsp
vanilla extract
6 c
rice krispies cereal

How to Make Mum's Rice Krispie Squares


  • 1In large saucepan, over low heat, melt margarine, add marshmallows, stir until melted and well blended.
  • 2Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, add cereal, stir until coated.
  • 3Using lightly buttered spatula, press into buttered (13 x 9") pan. Cool and cut into squares.
