spicy basil tomato hummus

Hubby's work hours vary (like to have meals with him), so a snack is a must before he gets home. Used what I had on hand before dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 - bay english muffins,split,lightly toasted
  • 1 - 1/2 can chickpeas,drained and rinsed (save remaining chick peas for a evening salad)
  • 1 - pinch garlic powder
  • 1/2 - small ripe tomato ,with seeds out
  • 6 - fresh basil leaves,may leave out
  • 3 - tablespoons water
  • 3 - tablespoons olive
  • 1 - pinch salt and black pepper
  • 4 - dashes hot sauce i use crystal hot sauce for this

How To Make spicy basil tomato hummus

  • Step 1
    Dice fresh tomato
  • Step 2
    Tear basil leaves
  • Step 3
    Except Olive oil** put all in food processor and pulse
  • Step 4
    Add olive oil little at a time on full speed till smooth.
  • Step 5
    Put in a small bowl take a teaspoon and spread on 1/2 each,toasted English muffin.
  • Step 6
    Chill the rest of chickpea mixture away and save for the evening snack for you & husband.
