stir-stir-stir candied pecans
This recipe is shared by Kim Fernando and "oh she glows". Kim says,"Don't let the agave and water mixture boil up or turn dark brown like molasses- as this will burn the nuts--Keep it over Low heat and Stir-Stir-Stir,for 20 minutes or longer" You won't be disappointed with this recipe. Great for gift giving and be sure to stash away a few for yourself before they disappear!

Ingredients
- 4 cups raw pecans (trader joe's)
- 1 1/3 cups agave nectar
- 2/3 cup water
- 1 tablespoon 100% palm oil
- 1 pinch sea salt
How To Make stir-stir-stir candied pecans
-
Step 1Combine all ingredients, except the sea salt in a large pan or skillet and stir constantly over Low-heat until pecans absorb most of the goo.(about 20 minutes or so). Please take note of the advice Kim gives above in the personal note.
-
Step 2Remove from heat and sprinkle in the sea salt. Let mixture cool slightly. About 3 minutes. Then spread out onto no stick foil lined cookie sheet that you also spray. Spread the pecans out individually -they should not touch each other; unless you want little bundles.
