This recipe was found in an old Texas community cook book. You gotta love the old ones. Find them, dust them off, and circulate them again so we don't lose them.

Ingredients
- 40 - saltine crackers. use enough to cover bottom of pan
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 (6 oz) package chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts
How To Make holliday brittle crackers

Step 1Take 11 x 16 x 1 inch pan and lay foil on bottom. Place layer of crackers on top.

Step 2In saucepan, combine butter and sugar. Bring to boil for 3 minutes. Stir don't let scorch.

Step 3Pour over crackers. Bake at 350 for 5 minutes or until crackers float.

Step 4Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. When melted spread and sprinkle nuts on top. Cut into bars.
