These easy Stir Fried Green Beans with Ginger and Garlic are a quick and easy versatile side that goes with so many main courses. It is the perfect accompaniment for chicken, fish, beef and pork.

Ingredients For stir fried green beans

  • 1 lb
    green beans trimmed and cut in 1 1/2 lengths
  • 2 Tbsp
    low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    water
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp
    sesame oil
  • 1/8 tsp
    crushed red pepper flakes (see notes)
  • 2 Tbsp
    canola oil
  • 3 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    ginger minced

How To Make stir fried green beans

    In a small bowl and mix together the soy sauce, vinegar, water, brown sugar, sesame oil and crushed red pepper.

    Heat oil over medium high heat in a wok or large skillet. The oil should be very hot and just starting to smoke. Add the green beans and cook for 2 minutes; stirring constantly. Turn the heat to low. Add the garlic and ginger; cook for 1 minute stirring constantly. Add soy sauce mixture and turn the heat up to medium; cook for 2 minutes stirring frequently.

    NOTES Crushed red pepper adds a little heat. Add less if you are sensitive to it more if you love the heat.
