slaw to go with shwarma
Inspired from Nadiyah’s Time to Eat show, served with Chicken Shwarma. I changed to use mint, and cole slaw (cabbage/carrot mix).

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups plain yogurt; use scd yogurt if on the specific carbohydrate diet
- some mint (fresh or dried)
- 1 teaspoon mustard seed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- undressed cole slaw
How To Make slaw to go with shwarma
-
Step 1Heat mustard seed in dry skillet till they pop. Pour in a bit of olive oil, stir in mustard powder, then pour into yogurt & stir. Season with salt. Stir in mint.
-
Step 2Add dressing to cole slaw right before serving. (Nadiyah used broccoli with her recipe.) Use whatever veggies you tolerate well, if on the SCD. Would probably taste good as a sauce on even some cooked veggies.
