Inspired from Nadiyah’s Time to Eat show, served with Chicken Shwarma. I changed to use mint, and cole slaw (cabbage/carrot mix).

How to Make Slaw to go with Shwarma

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat mustard seed in dry skillet till they pop. Pour in a bit of olive oil, stir in mustard powder, then pour into yogurt & stir. Season with salt. Stir in mint.
  2. Add dressing to cole slaw right before serving. (Nadiyah used broccoli with her recipe.) Use whatever veggies you tolerate well, if on the SCD. Would probably taste good as a sauce on even some cooked veggies.
  3. Great side with this Chicken Shwarma: Chicken Shwarma (can be SCD compliant)
