I had some leftover cabbage one night that I didn't quite know what to do with. I love cabbage in soups and stews and stuffed, but I'd never done much else with it otherwise. Anyway, I don't really remember if I had any method to my madness that day. I just remember that it came out well enough that I made a meal of it. Tonight I threw in a bratwurst to steam with the cabbage...YUM!

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 1/4
    cabbage head, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 3-4 Tbsp
    toasted sesame oil
  • 1/4 c
    grated parmesan cheese

How to Make Simple Cabbage Side Dish

Step-by-Step

  1. Steam cabbage until tender. About 30 minuters. Turn cabbage out into serving bowl.
  2. Add butter. Mix to coat evenly.
  3. Add sesame oil. Mix to coat evenly.
  4. Sprinkle parmesan while folding to coat evenly. Use more or less to taste.
