My Aunt Mildred used to make these. This is very easy to make. It is a welcome addition to most any meal. They have a fantastic taste too.

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

1 lb
shallots, peeled
extra virgin olive oil
salt to taste.
white pepper to taste.

How to Make Roasted Shallots

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat oven to 450°F.
  • 2Put shallots in a single layer in a baking dish. Coat shallots and inside of the baking dish with olive oil.
  • 3Roast shallots for 15 minutes, shaking the dish every 5 minutes to be sure shallots are not sticking.
  • 4Turn shallots over and roast for 5 minutes more.
  • 5Add salt and white pepper to taste.
