Roasted Shallots

My Aunt Mildred used to make these. This is very easy to make. It is a welcome addition to most any meal. They have a fantastic taste too.

  • 1 lb
    shallots, peeled
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste.
  • white pepper to taste.

How To Make

    Heat oven to 450°F.
  • 2
    Put shallots in a single layer in a baking dish. Coat shallots and inside of the baking dish with olive oil.

    Roast shallots for 15 minutes, shaking the dish every 5 minutes to be sure shallots are not sticking.

    Turn shallots over and roast for 5 minutes more.

    Add salt and white pepper to taste.
