yield 4 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 6 large yams, quartered or a lg can of yams
  • 1 stick real butter
  • 1 bottle pure maple syrup (the real deal)

How To Make maple candied yams

  • Step 1
If using fresh yams, peel quarter and pre cook in pot of water.
  • Step 2
    Melt butter into frying pan.
  • Step 3
Place yam pieces in butter and allow to simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Step 4
Turn heat to low medium, enough to allow bubbling. Pour maple syrup over yams and cook for approximately another 10 minutes or more until you have a good coating on yams.
