How to Make Maple Candied Yams

Step-by-Step

  1. If using fresh yams, peel quarter and pre cook in pot of water.
  2. Melt butter into frying pan.
  3. Place yam pieces in butter and allow to simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
  4. Turn heat to low medium, enough to allow bubbling. Pour maple syrup over yams and cook for approximately another 10 minutes or more until you have a good coating on yams.
  5. Pour syrup and yams in serving dish and serve with entree of choice.
    Enjoy!
