How to Make Maple Candied Yams
- If using fresh yams, peel quarter and pre cook in pot of water.
- Melt butter into frying pan.
- Place yam pieces in butter and allow to simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Turn heat to low medium, enough to allow bubbling. Pour maple syrup over yams and cook for approximately another 10 minutes or more until you have a good coating on yams.
- Pour syrup and yams in serving dish and serve with entree of choice.
