How to Make Maple Candied Yams
- 1If using fresh yams, peel quarter and pre cook in pot of water.
- 2Melt butter into frying pan.
- 3Place yam pieces in butter and allow to simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
- 4Turn heat to low medium, enough to allow bubbling. Pour maple syrup over yams and cook for approximately another 10 minutes or more until you have a good coating on yams.
- 5Pour syrup and yams in serving dish and serve with entree of choice.
