This salad is so good there is never any left and I am always asked for the recipe. I used to make this when I worked in a deli many years ago- when things were all homemade - not from a box or a can or a jar. If making this for a picnic- you better double it!!

Ingredients

  • 1 large
    head of cauliflower, cut into bite size pieces
  • 1/2 c
    cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1/2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 medium
    green onions, chopped use part of the green too
  • 2 tsp
    lawry's seasoned salt
  • 1/4 c
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c
    mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 3/4 c
    dairy sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp
    milk

How to Make Cauliflower Salad Deli Style

Step-by-Step

  1. Place cauliflower pieces, crumbled bacon, cheese and onions in a large bowl. Mix together in another bowl the remaining ingredients. Blend well. Add just enough of the sauce over the cauliflower mixture to moisten slightly- do not over whelm it with the sauce- serve any extra on the side , if desired. Keep chilled until ready to serve. This is to die for!!!
