As soon as fresh corn was available, skillet corn was on the stove. Grandma Katherine cut many a cobs off and froze the skillet corn for winter. To freeze, do step one and two. Bag and freeze. Do not add the milk and flour. You will do that step when preparing to eat.

- 3 cups corn, fresh from cob
- 1/2 teaspoon s & p
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/4 cup milk
How To Make southern skillet corn

Step 1Cut corn off the cob.

Step 2Add all ingredients into a skillet, minus milk and flour. Sauté 10 minutes.

Step 3Blend milk and flour till smooth. Tip- add flour to cold milk and whisk. Add to corn and continue to sauté 5-10 minutes longer.
