Ingredients

4 oz
white pearl onions
8 oz
frozen green peas
3 c
cooked rice
1 Tbsp
olive oil
1 tsp
turmeric
1/4 tsp
ground ginger
1 tsp
seasoned salt
1/4 tsp
seasoned pepper
2 tsp
lemon juice

How to Make Golden Rice

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat oil in a frying pan. Add turmeric and ginger and cook for a few seconds or until you can smell the toasted turmeric.
  • 2Add onions and stir to coat. Cook for about three minutes.
  • 3Add the peas, salt, pepper and lemon juice. Stir to coat. Cover and cook for about eight minutes or until tender. Stir occasionally.
  • 4Add rice and stir to mix thoroughly. Heat through.
