I love fried cabbage and it is so easy to make. You can change it up to suit your tastes. Add some caraway seed or fresh chopped garlic...etc. I often add a few grated carrots. This recipe can easily be cut in half for one or two people.

Ingredients
- 1/2 - head chopped green cabbage
- 1/2 - sliced onion (i prefer sweet onions)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons bacon fat (i add when the cabbage is fairly tender)
How To Make fried cabbage

Step 1Cut up the cabbage and onion, heat oil in a frying pan, add veggies. Saute over medium heat until soft. Add in the extra fat (bacon fat or sesame oil or any other flavored oil you like) and saute for about 5 more minutes.

Step 2For vegetarian, omit the bacon fat and add a bit more oil at that point.
