Every farm had to have a garden in the summet to live on , the ladys cooked and canned everything for the year ahead. One of the recipes that my grandma had was this fried bell pepper, it's like fried okra with a bite to it.

Ingredients For french fried pepper rings

  • 4-6
    large green bell peppers
  • 1
    egg beaten
  • 1 c
    dry bread crumbs
  • 2-3 Tbsp
    shortening

How To Make french fried pepper rings

    Clean and remove seeds and membrane from the bell peppers. Slice the peppers into thin rings.

    Dip the rings into the egg, then into the bread crumbs and fry in hot shortening until browned on both sides 2-3 minites.
