I make succotach the way my mother made it, plain and simple. Nothing fancy added. Just three ingredients. What could be easier? And nothing could be tastier.

Ingredients
- 1 package (10 oz.) frozen corn
- 1 package (10 oz.) frozen baby lima beans
- 3 tablespoons butter
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make ellen's just plain succotash

Step 1Bring about 1 cup of water to boil in a medium saucepan. When water boils, add 1/2 tsp. salt and lima beans. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 10 minutes.

Step 2After 10 minutes, add corn, raise the heat to high and bring to a second boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 5 more minutes.

Step 3Pour off water and add butter; stir until melted. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve while hot.
