Ingredients

  • DRESSING:
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 medium lemon ,juiced
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seeds, toasted in a dry sauté pan until lightly smoky
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 - jalapeño, minced
  • Directions - whisk ingredients together until well blended.
  • SALAD:
  • 1/2 small head,red cabbage, cut in thin ribbons(chiffonade)
  • 1/2 small head savory cabbage, cut in thin ribbons(chiffonade)
  • 2 large carrots, cut in thin strips (julienne)
  • 1 medium red onion,minced
  • 1 bunch cilantro, very roughly chopped, use stems too
  • - salt and cracked black pepper to taste

How To Make daniel's caribbean coleslaw

  • Step 1
    Toss dressing with cabbage and remaining vegetables, except cilantro and marinate for at least 2 hours. Just before serving, add cilantro and season to taste.
