Baked Tomatoes and toasted buttered bread cubes in a casserole. My mom used to make this when I was a kid. Of course I was never much of a fan but I love them now.

Ingredients
- 1 cup clery, small dice
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 3 slices bread, toasted, buttered and cut in 1/2" cubes
- 1 15 ounces can tomatoes, broken up (i use canned stewed tomatoes)
- 1 tablespoon sugar, (can use splenda)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- couple dash pepper
How To Make breaded tomatoes

Step 1Saute celery and onion in butter until tender. Blend in flour, add tomatoes, sugar, salt and pepper, along with half of bread cubes. Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole. Top with remaining bread cubes. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 50 minutes.
