Ingredients

  • 2 c
    water
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/3 c
    peas, frozen (6 ounces)
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 tsp
    instant chicken bouillon granules
  • 1/2 tsp
    orange peel, freshly grated
  • 1/2 tsp
    tarragon
  • 1/16 tsp
    sugar

How to Make Peas a L'orange

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine water and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a full boil. Add peas. Return to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and cook 1 minute.

    Drain peas in a colander.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan. Warm over low heat. Stir in drained peas.

    Cover and keep warm over very low heat 2 minutes to blend flavors.
