Fresh is the best. Most people love green beans out of a can...but fresh is so much healthier, tastier and just as easy to prepare! Coconut oil, ginger, honey and lime add a wonderful taste. Super healthy and tasty.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound fresh green beans
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons grated ginger
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

How To Make honeyed green beans with fried ginger

  • Step 1
    Wash beans. Cut both ends off.
  • Step 2
    Boil beans in water for 7 minutes, until tender. Drain and set aside.
  • Step 3
    Melt coconut oil in same pot. Saute ginger for about 30 seconds, stirring often.
  • Step 4
    Turn off heat. Add green beans and honey to pan. Stir together with pinch of salt.
  • Step 5
    Prior to serving, top with lime juice.
