Heidi Hoerman

Turn green beans into a rich, satisfying side dish with this creamy, sweet and tangy dressing. The dressing could also be used on other vegetables, e.g. steamed asparagus, peas, boiled potatoes, etc.

How to Make Green Beans in Honey Mustard Cornichon Dressing

  1. If using micro-wave-in-bag or frozen green beans, follow directions on the package. If using fresh beans, rinse beans leaving droplets of water on the beans. Microwave, in a covered container, on high for 5 minutes or until the beans are a little under-done. Allow beans to sit, covered, for 3 or 4 minutes for steam to finish the cooking.
  2. Whisk together melted butter, honey, mustard, and cornichons. Toss the beans in this mixture until well coated
  3. Serve immediately.
