Turn green beans into a rich, satisfying side dish with this creamy, sweet and tangy dressing. The dressing could also be used on other vegetables, e.g. steamed asparagus, peas, boiled potatoes, etc.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces green beans, trimmed
  • 2 teaspoons butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
  • 3 small cornichons, minced or 2 tablespoons dill (sour) pickle relish

How To Make green beans in honey mustard cornichon dressing

  • Step 1
    If using micro-wave-in-bag or frozen green beans, follow directions on the package. If using fresh beans, rinse beans leaving droplets of water on the beans. Microwave, in a covered container, on high for 5 minutes or until the beans are a little under-done. Allow beans to sit, covered, for 3 or 4 minutes for steam to finish the cooking.
  • Step 2
    Whisk together melted butter, honey, mustard, and cornichons. Toss the beans in this mixture until well coated
  • Step 3
    Serve immediately.
