Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh snap beans, left long like french fries, stem ends removed
- - tempura style onion ring batter mix (i use chuck wagon brand)
- - vegetable oil for frying
- - salt (optional)
- - hot sauce (optional)
How To Make green bean fries
-
Step 1In non-stick dutch oven or chicken fryer, heat about 2 inches of oil to 350.
-
Step 2Meanwhile, in large bowl prepare onion ring mix to as thin or thick as you like and add hot sauce to the batter if desired. In small batches gently add green beans to hot oil. They will sink to the bottom so as soon as they're set, about 5 seconds use spatula to gently lift them off the bottom so they can float.
-
Step 3Fry until batter starts to get golden brown. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.
-
Step 4Serve with Ranch dip or my https://www.justapinch.com/recipes/sauce-spread/sauce-spread-dressing/honey-mustard-dressing-dipping-sauce.html?p=1. Enjoy!
