Ingredients
- 8 slices bacon, cut into small strips
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 6 - green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 large head of cabbage, finely shredded (8 cups)
How To Make german hot slaw

Step 1Fry the bacon till crisp and remove and drain on paper towels.

Step 2Combine sugar, vinegar and salt and stir until dissolved, cooking briefly.

Step 3Pour the hot vinegar mixture over the cabbage.

Step 4Stir in the bacon and top with green onions.
