Here are a couple recipes from "back in the day"...?
BTW...it does not say who the recipes were submitted by, so I do not know who to give credit to!!!
FIRST RECIPE: COMPANY SPINACH
1/4 clight cream
1/4 cchopped onion
1/4 cbacon (cooked and chopped)
3 chot spinach (chopped)
SECOND RECIPE: LEMON CARROTS
1 Tbsplemon juice
How to Make Classics from 1970 published in Rural Arkansas
- DIRECTIONS FOR FIRST RECIPE: COMPANY SPINACH
- Sauté onion in the butter, add cream, chopped bacon and spinach.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- DIRECTIONS FOR SECOND RECIPE: LEMON CARROTS
- Cook carrots in boiling, salted water until tender.
Mix and heat remaining ingredients.
Pour over boiled, drained, carrots.
