Ingredients

  • 5 large carrots(sliced)
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

How To Make candied carrots

  • Step 1
    Add carrots and chicken broth to large sauce pan; bring to boil. Cook until carrots are tender.
  • Step 2
    Drain carrots leaving about 1/2 cup liquid in sauce pan.
  • Step 3
    Add butter, brown sugar, salt,pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  • Step 4
    Cook until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved; carrots are coated about 5 minutes. enjoy
