Ingredients

  • 5 large
    carrots(sliced)
  • 4 c
    chicken broth
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    cayenne pepper

How to Make Candied Carrots

Step-by-Step

  1. Add carrots and chicken broth to large sauce pan; bring to boil. Cook until carrots are tender.
  2. Drain carrots leaving about 1/2 cup liquid in sauce pan.
  3. Add butter, brown sugar, salt,pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Cook until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved; carrots are coated about 5 minutes. enjoy
