Everybody loves the combination of potatoes, cheese and bacon. Throw in some crunchy onions and you've got a casserole to write home about! What could be easier? Recipe & photo: French's.com 10-16-14

Ingredients

  • 6 cups prepared mashed potatoes
  • 10-12 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups french fried onions

How To Make crunchy onion bacon potatoes

  • Step 1
    Layer half of the potatoes in an 8-inch square baking pan and sprinkle with half the bacon, half the cheese, and half the onions. Top with remaining potatoes.
  • Step 2
    Bake in a preheated 350º oven for 20 minutes or until hot. Top with remaining bacon, cheese, and onions. Bake 5 minutes more or until cheese is melted.
  • Step 3
    NOTES: may use store-bought mashed potatoes, already prepared, such as Bob Evans, or may use homemade. If using homemade the prep time will be longer.
