    bleu cheese dressing
  • 1 Tbsp
    bbq sauce
  • 1/4 c
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1 tsp
    grated horseradish
  • ·
  • 1 c
    green cabbage. shredded
  • 1/2 c
    red cabbage, shredded
  • 1/4 c
    red onion
  • 1 large
  • 1
    scallion, chopped
  • 1 c
    canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 c
    granny smith apple, sliced into matchsticks
  • 1/2 c
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 c
    crisp, chopped bacon + more more garnish
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried cranberries
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 Tbsp
    chopped pecans
  • 1 Tbsp
    chopped almonds

How to Make BBQ Bleu Cheese, Bacon Slaw


  1. Mix all the dressing ingredients together with a whisk.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and toss to coat.
  3. To be fancy, set aside a few of the nicest looking cabbage leaves and serve in “cabbage cups”.
  4. Sprinkle reserved crumbled bacon on top as garnish.
  5. Slaw will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
