Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 1 cup rice
- 1 cup red or yellow lentils
- 1 tablespoon onion flakes, dehydrated
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups chicken broth or bouillon and water
- - salt and pepper
How To Make lentils and rice

Step 1In a pot over medium heat (or a rice cooker) melt the butter. Add rice, lentils and onion flakes and stir.

Step 2Add milk, broth, salt and pepper. Stir and bring to the boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer till all liquid is absorbed. (about 25 minutes)

Step 3Serve with a pat of butter.
