Mashed potatoes have always been one of my favorite sides. These work with or without gravy and are an excellent choice if you need to keep dinner warm.

Ingredients

yukon potatoes peeled and cut to uniform size (quartered)
1/2 c
sour cream
1/2 c
cream cheese
1/4 c
butter
1/4
whole milk
1 tsp
parsley flakes
1 tsp
paprika
salt and pepper

How to Make Kitty's Mashed Potatoes

Step-by-Step

  • 1Peel potatoes, quarter and put in large pan of cold water.
  • 2Boil potatoes until tender enough to mash.
  • 3Warm a large stainless steel bowl in the oven and measure out the rest of the ingredients
  • 4Drain potatoes and dump into warm stainless steel bowl, then mash with a warm utensil
  • 5Add sour cream, cream cheese, milk, salt & pepper and half the butter. Mix with electric mixer till smooth
  • 6Transfer to an oven safe serving dish and garnish with a large pat of butter, paprika, and parsley flakes
  • 7Keep in warm oven till ready to serve
