Ingredients
- 1 cup thinly sliced green onions
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 cans italian style tomatoes, drained and chopped (2 14- ounce cans)
- 1 can water plus 2 tablespoons
- 1 cup currants or raisins
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups couscous, uncooked
- 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
How To Make spicy couscous

Step 1Saute the green onions in butter in a large skillet over medium heat until tender.

Step 2Add the tomatoes and the next 5 ingredients; stir well. Bring to a boil; stir in the couscous.

Step 3Cover and remove from heat, and let stand for 5 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed. Stir in the parsley and serve immediately.
