Ingredients For sausage cornbread stuffing

  • 1 lb
    sausage (sage, mild, or country))
  • 2 1/2 c
    (8 oz. bag) cornbread stuffing or crumbled, homemade cornbread
  • 2 1/2 c
    (8 oz. bag) herb seasoned stuffing or bread crumbs
  • 2 can
    (14 1/2 oz.) chicken or turkey broth
  • 1-2 lg
    chopped onions
  • 2 stalk
    chopped celery
  • 1/2 c
    melted butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    poultry seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp
    seasoning salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper

How To Make sausage cornbread stuffing

    Brown sausage, drain. Cook onion and celery in melted butter until tender. Add in browned sausage.

    Mix stuffing, poultry seasoning, seasoning salt, and black pepper. Stir in broth, celery, onion, butter, and sausage mixture. Mix well.

    Stuff 14 - 20 lb. turkey lightly. Do not overstuff. The dressing may be baked separately for 30 minutes at 350*.
