Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage (sage, mild, or country))
  • 2 1/2 cups (8 oz. bag) cornbread stuffing or crumbled, homemade cornbread
  • 2 1/2 cups (8 oz. bag) herb seasoned stuffing or bread crumbs
  • 2 cans (14 1/2 oz.) chicken or turkey broth
  • 1-2 large chopped onions
  • 2 stalks chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon seasoning salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

How To Make sausage cornbread stuffing

  • Step 1
    Brown sausage, drain. Cook onion and celery in melted butter until tender. Add in browned sausage.
  • Step 2
    Mix stuffing, poultry seasoning, seasoning salt, and black pepper. Stir in broth, celery, onion, butter, and sausage mixture. Mix well.
  • Step 3
    Stuff 14 - 20 lb. turkey lightly. Do not overstuff. The dressing may be baked separately for 30 minutes at 350*.
