cider vinegar
whole cloves (optional)

How to Make Pickled Vidalia Onions


  • 1Peel onions and slice thinly.
  • 2Separate into rings.
  • 3Boil sugar, vinegar and cloves for 3 minutes.
  • 4Drop in onion rings.
  • 5Cook 3 minutes.
  • 6Store in covered container. A 1 quart canning jar is fine.
  • 7Keeps well in refrigerator.
