fresh eggs
enough water to cover the eggs
1 tsp
vinegar, keeps eggs from seeping if they crack while cooking

How to Make Perfect Hard Cooked Eggs


  • 1Put eggs in a suitable size sauce pan and cover with cold water, add the vinegar.
  • 2Bring water to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  • 3Drain water off, add cold water to stop cooking.
  • 4Refrigerate until ready to eat or use for salads, deviled eggs, whatever you like. We like eating them just like they are, and I usually have some in the fridge ready to go.
