This is yet another recipe from my mom's kitchen that was passed down through the family. Even though it is a Pesach recipe, it can be served as a great side dish.

Ingredients
- 6 sheets matzo
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 5 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 3/4 cup walnuts, chopped
- 3 - 4 large granny smith apples
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 2 tablespoons butter, cut into bits
How To Make momma dee's apple kugel

Step 1NOTE: This recipe is kosher for Pesach. It can be served hot or cold, as a side dish or as dessert.

Step 2Break matzo into small pieces and soak in water until soft. Drain, but DO NOT SQUEEZE dry.

Step 3Beat the eggs. Add salt, sugar, butter, and cinnamon. Add matzo.

Step 4Fold in nuts, apples, and raisins. Pour batter into a glass baking dish (for best results). Dot top of kugel with butter bits.

Step 5Bake for 45 min. @ 350 deg F (or until firm and brown). Remove and cool slightly before serving.
