This recipe came from my Granma Burson. As a family who loves beans and cornbread, she made this chow chow as a relish to be added for the beans. It is slightly sweet (we like it sweet) and you could add any pepper of your choice, if you like it with some heat.

Ingredients
- 1 large cabbage
- 2 large cucumbers
- 4 - bell peppers
- 6 large green tomatoes
- 3 large onions
- 2 tablespoons dry mustard
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 pint vinegar
- 2 bags pickling spice or 2 Tbsp pickling spice tied in a cheese cloth
- salt and pepper, to taste
How To Make chow chow

Step 1Chop all veggies to equal size.

Step 2Use a large pot and add all veggies and seasonings. Cook on low until tender.

Step 3I used a water bath to can. This recipe should render 6-8 pints depending on the size of the green tomatoes. Can for 45 minutes.
