- 4 cups fresh cranberries, rinsed
- 1 cup tart cherry juice
- 1 cup coconut sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
- 1/2 cup bourbon

Step 2Gather your ingredients (mise en place).

Step 3Place the ingredient; except the bourbon, into a saucepan over medium-high heat.

Step 4Boil until the cranberries begin to burst, about 3 – 4 minutes

Step 5Add the bourbon and reduce to a simmer.

Step 6Stir, and break up the cranberries with the back of your spoon.

Step 7Simmer for an additional 15 – 20 minutes.
