Dr. Pepper Ham Glaze
Rose Mary Mogan
It is easy to make and the flavor is memorable and quite tasty. You can use other soft drinks but we really appreciate the earthiness of Dr. Pepper, so we tend to stick with that. Hope you give it a try and see if you don't agree. Enough glaze for a 10 pound ham.
How to Make Dr. Pepper Ham Glaze
- 1Add all of the glaze ingredients in a medium sauce pan. Whisk or stir until sugar dissolves into liquid. Bring to a boil over medium high heat and cook until mixture becomes thick and syrupy. About 15 to 20 minutes, maybe a bit longer. NOTE IF YOU COOK TOO LONG GLAZE WILL HARDEN, AND MAY NEED TO BE HEATED. I USUALLY MAKE AN EXTRA BATCH OF THIS GLAZE TO SERVE ON THE SIDE, IT IS THAT GOOD.
