This is a perfect spice blend for grilled food such as poultry, pork, seafood, etc.; a great recipe to have.

Ingredients For jamaican jerk seasoning

  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    brown sugar (substitute coconut sugar)
  • 2 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp
    onion powder
  • 2 tsp
    ground himalayan sea salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    ground thyme
  • 1 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 1 tsp
    ground allspice
  • 1 tsp
    smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp
    freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cloves

How To Make jamaican jerk seasoning

  • 1
    Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Transfer to an airtight container. Yields 6 1/2 tbsp.

    To make a rub; use 2 tbsp. of canola oil or other flavorless oil with 2 1/2 tbsp. of Jamaican Jerk Seasoning and whisk until well mixed. Apply generously on protein of your choice.
