This is my favorite salsa. Even though it is easy and quick it is delicious. I grew up with my mom making it. I have streamlined the process so it only takes 5 minutes to make. Enjoy this Salsa Cruda.

Ingredients

  • INGREDIENTS

  • 2
    tomato; vine or plum is best
  • 1 can(s)
    rotel
  • 1/8
    onion; purple is best
  • 2 clove
    garlic
  • 1 bunch
    cilantro
  • 1
    jalapeno or serrano pepper (optional-if you like it hot)
  • 1/2
    lime
  • SPICES - TO TASTE

  • ·
    garlic powder
  • ·
    salt

How to Make 5 Minute Salsa

Step-by-Step

  1. Put 2 cloves of peeled garlic, 1/8 purple onion, and jalapeño or serrano pepper in food processor. Pulse.
  2. Quarter tomatoes and add to processor. Pulse.
  3. Add bunch of cilantro. Pulse.
  4. Add can of Rotel. Squeeze 1/2 lime. Add cumin, garlic powder, and salt to taste. Pulse.
  5. Serve with chips. We like to fry our own using yellow corn tortillas cut into 1/6th slices.
