I was asked to come up with a tasty BBQ sauce for the kids... Here You go Elizabeth... Hope they enjoy... Let me know... :) Everybody enjoy this one... Kept the " heat " on low for this one, so If You want to Tweak it feel free... But this one's for the Kids !!! Sincerely, Fireman Bob :)

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter - melted
  • 1 large onion - chopped fine
  • 1 small poblano chili - diced fine ( optional )
  • 3 cups ketchup
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup apple juice
  • 3/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
  • 1 cup brown sugar - packed
  • 3/4 cup dark molasses
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 4 teaspoons dry mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder - or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder - or to taste
  • 6 cloves garlic - diced fine

How To Make fireman bob's tasty bbq sauce for the kids...

  • Step 1
    In large pan, melt the butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add in the onion, garlic (diced ), and poblano chili, and cook until transparent.
  • Step 2
    Mix in ketchup, cider vinegar, water, apple juice, whole grain mustard, worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, molasses, honey, cumin, mustard powder, chili powder, garlic powder.
  • Step 3
    Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and simmer 1 hour 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Use as needed or cooled and refrigerated for up to 2 weeks in sealed container
  • Step 4
