fresh cranberries
1/2 c
orange juice
1/2 c
apple cider
1/2 c
honey
1/2 c
maple syrup

How to Make Fresh Cranberry Sauce

Step-by-Step

  • 1Wash berries and remove any bad ones.
  • 2In a medium saucepan on medium-low, add all ingredients, stirring gently to mix together. Allow to come to a boil, then turn down heat.
  • 3Berries will pop open. Stir occasionally while cooking. Sauce will thicken slowly.
  • 4Once it is about the consistency of jam, let it cool. Pour into a dish and refrigerate until ready to serve. This is a tart sauce, so if you prefer this sweeter, you will need to increase the honey or maple syrup to taste. This can be served with poultry, pork, beef or fish.
