How to Make Fresh Cranberry Sauce

  1. Wash berries and remove any bad ones.
  2. In a medium saucepan on medium-low, add all ingredients, stirring gently to mix together. Allow to come to a boil, then turn down heat.
  3. Berries will pop open. Stir occasionally while cooking. Sauce will thicken slowly.
  4. Once it is about the consistency of jam, let it cool. Pour into a dish and refrigerate until ready to serve. This is a tart sauce, so if you prefer this sweeter, you will need to increase the honey or maple syrup to taste. This can be served with poultry, pork, beef or fish.
