Ingredients
- 1 bag fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
How To Make fresh cranberry sauce
-
Step 1Wash berries and remove any bad ones.
-
Step 2In a medium saucepan on medium-low, add all ingredients, stirring gently to mix together. Allow to come to a boil, then turn down heat.
-
Step 3Berries will pop open. Stir occasionally while cooking. Sauce will thicken slowly.
-
Step 4Once it is about the consistency of jam, let it cool. Pour into a dish and refrigerate until ready to serve. This is a tart sauce, so if you prefer this sweeter, you will need to increase the honey or maple syrup to taste. This can be served with poultry, pork, beef or fish.
