oh so good - taco dip

This dip is delicious & satisfying, one of my families favorites...always a hit at parties and makes a great tailgate treat! Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 - 2 tablespoons diced, fresh jalapeno pepper - i use red and green
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 2 cups lettuce, shredded
  • 4 ounces each - fresh shredded monterey jack cheese & shredded, cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup each - diced tomatoes & sliced green onions
  • 1/4 cup sliced, black olives
  • tortilla - chips for dipping

How To Make oh so good - taco dip

  • Step 1
    In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, spices and jalapeno peppers. Make sure it's mixed well.
  • Step 2
    Stir in the salsa.
  • Step 3
    On a platter spread out the shredded lettuce ad spread on the cream cheese mixture, evenly.
  • Step 4
    Top with cheese, tomatoes, olives, green onions.
  • Step 5
    Serve with your favorite tortilla or corn chips. Delicious!!!
