Classic caprese combo; the addition of goat cheese adds a sweetness. Delish!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup grape tomatoes (half a pint)
  • 4 ounces cubed mozzarella
  • 2 ounces shredded mozzarella
  • 2 ounces goat cheese (use honey goat cheese for a great flavor combination!)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed basil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

How To Make goat cheese caprese dip

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375.
  • Step 2
    Cut tomatoes in half. Add to mixing bowl. Add salt, pepper and basil. Use a spatula to slightly bruise the tomatoes, and mix well.
  • Step 3
    Add cubed mozzarella. Mix well.
  • Step 4
    Add olive oil to bottom of baking dish. Pour in the tomato mixture.
  • Step 5
    Top with shredded mozzarella cheese. (optional - on top of this, I added a dash of the dried basil).
  • Step 6
    Top this with thin slices of goat cheese.
  • Step 7
    Cover and bake for 12 minutes. Take off the cover, return to oven and bake uncovered for 5 additional minutes.
  • Step 8
    Done! Serve immediately.
